Yellow Breasted Chat
What a beauty! This little one was brought to us after being cat-caught. This is a real rare intake. These chats tend to keep themselves well hidden in low dense brush, and they are more common in the East and Southwest. They eat insects and berries. Unlike many songbirds, this chat uses a foot to hold its food when it eats. Have you seen any in Douglas County? We’d love to hear about your sightings.
