Hi! I am new here. <3 Thanks for having me. I read on several wildlife sites (and learned from my mentors) that most nocturnal animals out during the day have either been disturbed in their dens, been sensed by a predator and may no longer feel safe, or are looking for better digs, or most likely, food for hungry babies (or themselves). I also read that people often call animal control or F&W for animals who are healthy but are just foraging or looking for new or safer sleeping spaces. Trees get cut down; gardening gets done; people cut back hedges and arbor vitae where raccoons and other wild animals live. They're disturbed and have no other choice but to be out during the day. It's a huge bummer when they get killed without a good reason other than being out during the day. I'd love to hear your take on this. Thanks.
