Forever Wild Wildlife Rescue operates under the supervision of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Veterinarian Dr. Tammy Eichmann of Countryside Veterinary Service (located in Canyonville and Myrtle Creek). We presently consist of four licensed wildlife rehabilitators — with experience ranging up to 24 years— and six sub-permittees. We are licensed to rehabilitate birds, raptors and mammals. We have a support team that staffs a Hotline, which receives calls of injured or orphaned wildlife and arranges for their placement. Others serve as a recovery team, where they rescue and transport wildlife to waiting rehabilitators. We also have members who serve at educational events, engage in fundraising activities and construct wildlife pens.

Forever Wild is a non-profit dedicated to the rehabilitation and the return to the wild of injured and orphaned wildlife in the beautiful Umpqua Watershed.

Forever Wild Wildlife Rescue is a non-profit that relies on donations to cover its expenses. Donated funds help pay for medicine and medical supplies, flight cages, animal feed, vet bills, and various administrative costs and other expenses related to the wildlife rehabilitation work. Forever Wild has no buildings, rent or salaries as the group is operated entirely by volunteers.

The mission and purpose of Forever Wild Wildlife Rescue is: to rescue and rehabilitate injured and orphaned native wildlife; to equip rehabilitators with the appropriate and necessary resources and facilities; to teach and train new rehabilitators and volunteers; to research and learn new methods of treatment and care; to financially support veterinarian services for animals in serious need of such care; to educate the community about interactions with wildlife; and ultimately, to return rehabilitated wildlife in a wild condition to their native habitat.
