A precarious nest spot

Four baby barn owls came in yesterday from a damaged building with a construction crew doing repairs. We would really love to attempt to renest these kids in their new fancy nest box courtesy of Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. Unfortunately there were at least four bait boxes in clear view and unless they are removed we cannot in good conscience put them back in an unsafe location. We are awaiting a reply to this request from the property management company. Meanwhile the youngsters are settling in well and eating us out of "mouse and home."😁 Each baby barn owl eats SIX mice per day so these kids, like all kids, are expensive! If you would like to help with the cost of raising them, you can donate here; fwwr.org We also have an Amazon Wish List you can find here; https://www.amazon.com/.../31CJI.../ref=nav_wishlist_lists_1 Thanks for looking!
